Some of our Policy Implementation
Water Saving Strategies
We use community borehole water scarce and expensive. We have in place water saving measures including grey water recycling, towel/linen policies, staff education, native drought resistant planting amongst others.

Permaculture
We aim for have 100% of our vegetables grown in our gardens using permaculture techniques. Food will be seasonal and sympathetic to the so. Surplus will be distributed to the community.

Women Economic Empowerment
Where women work, economies grow. We aim to have at least a 70% female:male employment ratio.

Renewable Energy
90% of our power requirements come from solar. We use induction cookers to minimise the use of bio-fuels.

Sustainable Eco-friendly Building
The construction of the camp has been done using eco-friendly techniques using locally sourced materials.

Microeconomy
We support small scale micro-economies with our visitor footfall such as local beadwork workshops, sale of Masai curios in our shop, Masai cultural evenings, nature walks etc.
